Growing in faith together

Our youth group aims to follow the same pattern as the Book of Acts and the broader church body of RMCC.  We identify God’s model for the church in Acts 2:42 through these five characteristics of the early church.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. – Acts 2:42

  • Sole dependence on the Holy Spirit-Apart from the Holy Spirit we can do nothing; our lives are meant to be lived in dependence upon His power and His leading.
  • Teaching the whole counsel of God’s Word- We place an emphasis on the expositional, or verse-by-verse, teaching of God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation.
  • Effective evangelism- Believers who are well-nourished in the Word of God will radiate the love of God and attract others to Jesus. In other words, healthy sheep reproduce!
  • Prayer- By devoting ourselves to prayer we can have victory over the sin in our lives, stand against the wiles of the enemy and be very fruitful in the work of the Lord.
  • Sharing our lives with one another- We need each other, and God wants us to experience meaningful fellowship and communion as we come together in love, faith and encouragement.
