Verses 32-36

Can’t you hear our Lord crying out these words to us because He loves us! You see, if we find Christ, if we come to Him, we have life. If we reject Him we must love death for that is what we will get. It is as Jesus said in John 5:24, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”

So the Lord is calling for us to be wise and that means we need to “listen” for the Lord, “keep” the things of the Lord, “hear” the words of the Lord, “do not disdain [disregard]” the things of God, “watching” for God’s direction, “waiting” upon the Lord. That is where wisdom is found, in the Lord!

As Paul said, “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’”Hebrews 13:5-6. God loves us so much that He will never leave us, may we not walk away from Him. He wants to give us wisdom to live by, my we be diligent in our endeavor to follow after Him!
