In 2004 the leadership at RMCC, sensed the Lord calling us to a more active role in missions. At first it was to have a personal connection to an orphanage that would provide opportunity for the fellowship at RMCC to prayerfully and actively become involved in. As the Lord directed our path, Through much prayer, we purchased a property and helped to establish an orphanage located just over an hour outside Lima at Chaclacayo. The ministry is led by Mario Davila Chocano and his wife Patti.
As we developed the Children’s Cottage, our hearts were also knit together with Albert Smith, a missionary and now Senior Pastor at Calvary Chapel El Terminal in Iquitos, Peru. We have been actively involved in this ministry sending ministry teams, construction teams and leadership teams to help strengthen the church at El Terminal. Pastor Albert is fully supported by RMCC.
We also support monthly the AIDIA Bible translation into the Quechua language in a city called Abancay. Pastor Luis Cervantes is the director of this project which also includes church planting, creating audio visual materials in the Quechua language, teaching literacy in reading and writing, starting Sunday schools in remote parts of the Apurimac area of the Andes and running a Christian school as a form of outreach in the city of Abancay.
We are also developing a relationship with a Calvary Church in Arequipa, Peru. Pastor Efrain Medina is the pastor of that church and has a vision for reaching the southern region of Peru.
We are also connected with the following churches:
Calvary Lima (Pastor Manolo Matos)
Calvary Chapel Gracia in Lima (Pastor Lucho Garcia)
Calvary Chapel Cusco (Pastor Darwin Torres)
Peru River Ministry (Pastor Jose Garante)
Calvary Chapel Arequipa (Pastor Efrain Medina)
Rural Iquitos Ministry – Kilometer 43 (Pastor Javier Manihuari)
