Our RMCC family came together to celebrate the graduation of 13 Grade 12 students on the evening of Sunday, July 25, and what a night it was!
Desserts were in abundance, thanks to many of the contributors, and fellowship was as sweet as the treats.
The photo booth was also in high demand as many photos were taken with the grads. A bright, cheery wooden wall covered in green was the backdrop, and many lights were hung about the West Campus. Rocks on the tables represented building our lives on Jesus.
Laughter was shared, stories were swapped, memories were made.
After a time of fellowship during the dessert banquet, everyone migrated over to the main campus where we started the program with some worship. Then Pastor Dan shared a message from Matthew 7:24-27 about the importance of building our life on Christ as the foundation. What a blessing to be reminded of that powerful message! I pray we’ll all live it out as we enter this new chapter in our lives.
The annual slideshow of childhood snapshots was great fun, as always, and a slight embarrassment on the grads’ side of the sanctuary!
And after the slideshow, the grads’ speeches! It was amazing to hear how God has been at work in all our lives throughout junior and high school, the involvement of the grads in various RMCC ministries, and the lasting impact of these ministries on the grads.
Each grad shared their own dreams and plans for their future, and requested prayer for their next steps in life. Some requests were for God’s guidance. Some for wisdom. Healing. Understanding. Trusting in His will. And unspoken by some is the request that we be lights to those around us when we go to university, college, work, or wherever we go.
Please continue to pray …
Prayer is so important, and not just for the graduates who are stepping out into the world. There is an ongoing spiritual battle in elementary schools, junior and senior high schools, universities and colleges. All students need your prayers for God’s protection and His hand to remain on our lives. For the courage to stand for our faith.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support, encourage and love on the graduates. It truly is a blessing to know how loved we all are, and your prayers mean so much to us.
