Proverbs 11

This morning I am being challenged to keep my focus on Jesus, to look first and then respond after. To make sure that my eyes are in the right place and not focused on the wrong things. How I need to be more diligent to look first to Jesus and then deal with the challenges around me. This charge is echoed here in the Proverb of the Day and is found in verse 12, …But a man of understanding hold his peace. Instead of getting worked up about something or thrown off course, I am to just keep my eyes on the Lord and not react. As I wait on the Lord, keep my eyes on the Lord, then I can respond correctly and observe the Lord working. To look and listen before I talk and take action, that is a principle I need to live by.
