The following testimony is written by Adjebeng Appiah-Danquah who is lovingly known as Kofi by his church family at Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel. You may have seen Kofi behind the camera in the sound booth as he faithfully serves in our livestream ministry on Sundays. Kofi was born and raised in Africa and recently was granted his permanent residency in Canada. Most importantly, he is a citizen of heaven and we are delighted to share part of his story with you.
Give thanks to the Lord Almighty for He is good, and His mercy endures forever.
It’s been a challenging journey for almost 20 years. But in all things, God Almighty has been good to me. He has revealed His strength and power to me, and proven that, with Him, all things are possible.
Healed of Migraines
I have had migraines since I could remember, and in my early state in Canada, I decided to find a solution for my headaches. I visited the clinic one day and told the doctor about my headache history. The doctor looked at me and asked, “Have you ever checked your heart?”
I replied, “Nope. I have not done that.” So, the doctor told me he was going to give me an appointment to check my heart. When he said that, I was thinking in my head that this doctor knows what he is talking about.
At first, I didn’t want to go to the appointment. But God, in His own wisdom, spoke to me on my way home that very day. I went for the appointment.
During one test they found out I had a hole in my heart. I had the surgery to close the hole in July 2006 in Edmonton, Alberta.
A Successful Journey to Permanent Residency
It took me 17 years to secure my documents to become a Permanent Resident and enable me to have my permanency in Canada. All efforts by myself to achieve this process did not yield any good results. I decided to do it on my own, until I hit a dead end where I had no other means.
One day it just occurred to me: Why not tell the Pastors and Elders of God’s church? So, I did just what the Spirit moved me to do and asked for prayer at church. Brothers and sisters, Pastors and the Elders of RMCC prayed for me and also put in a request to support my application.
I say to God be the glory! The Lord was at work and within a very short time, I received a call from my lawyer informing me that the application was completed. I couldn’t believe the news from my lawyer. It was tears of joy.
There is more to say, but I just want to share these stories because God is a living God, and we should all serve and embrace Him. I therefore want to use this testimony to encourage all who have challenges of any kind to bring it to the altar of God. He is still a miracle-working God through His dedicated servants.
“… casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, NKJV).”
